Out-of-School youth, either drop-outs or high school graduates, age 18-21, may choose to enroll in diploma or certificate programs at area technical schools and colleges. This group may also choose to participate in short-term classroom-based occupational skills training such as Certified Nursing Assistance/Orderly. Financial aid is provided to assist the youth with the payment of tuition, fees, books, supplies and other training-related items. Supportive services such as assistance with meals, transportation and child care when needed are also available.

In the case of in-school youth, our mission is to see to it that you attain a high school diploma and enroll in technical school or college, join the military or enter employment. These services are generally county-based and closely connected with program participants who are attending public school. The ten program elements listed above are provided to some degree in the in-school youth programs we fund!
