13WMAZ Television in Macon, Georgia is currently seeking applications for the full-time position of Multimedia Journalist. This position is responsible for gathering, shooting, writing and producing content from the field or from inside the newsroom to be presented on multiple platforms including but not limited to on-air and online. This includes the following: Enterprises new stories. Shoots, writes and edits packaged reports. Writes for website including attaching images and streaming video. Uses production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media (viewer pictures, webcam interivews, etc.) to enhance stories. Solid live presenter.

Requirements include the following:

  • 1 -3 years television reporting/photography experience; College degree in Journalism or an equivalent combination of education and expreience.
  • Demonstrated experience in shooting, writing, editing and on-air presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
  • Current valid driver's license and excellent driving history required.

13WMAZ Television in Macon, Georgia is currently seeking applications for the full-time position of Multi-Media Associate News Producer in the 13WMAZ Information Center. Duties include: writing news stories, and editing video for all platforms, including 13WMAZ Eyewitness News, 13wmaz.com and our Mobile site, m.13wmaz.com; and showcasing that content under the supervision of producers and managers by producing compelling TV newscasts, managing newscasts in the control room, and managing content on 13wmaz.com.

Requirements include the following minimum qualifications:

  • Strong writing and video-editing skills for broadcast and Web.
  • Strong interest in news and current events. Knowledge about Central Georgia is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate a computer. Preference given to applicants who have experience with iNews newsroom computer system and Avid Newscutter video editing system.
  • Four-year college degree, or one year of news writing or producing experience.
